poppit
has an amazing and addictive stress-relieving quality. It is a balloon popping game with a twist. You have a limited amount of balloons that you pop by clicking on groups of 2 or more of the same color. It sounds simple enough but you have to click them in the right pattern to make all the balloons disappear. They move with every pop making the game more difficult; the more balloons you make pop the harder it gets to find groups. The balloons move upwards when a row is popped and to the right when a column is popped; it is possible to lose very quickly if you leave an entire column behind. This game is not timed so you are able to pop as slowly or as quickly as you would like. You might need a popping frenzy in which winning the game doesn't matter or you might need to win such that you take your time and become a popping master.Throughout the game there is a cactus at the bottom left of the game screen. He is your own personal cheerleader. He will make faces and motions as you make pops. As well as tell you when you have lost and ask if you would like to undo or end the game. Throughout the game he will move, it is rather fun to watch him cheer when you get a prize.
Trapped in the some of the balloons are presents, as you pop these present balloons prizes fall with parachutes. There are super pops, power up and bonus points for the bigger groups you are able to eliminate from the screen. Not to mention, all of the little toys stay on a ledge at the bottom of your screen to help keep you playing and know what your bonus will be at the end! These prizes are how you keep track of your points.
There is an undo button, so if you make a mistake and pop somewhere you didn't mean to, you can always take it back. In fact you can go all the way back to what the screen looked like when you started. Although this does take away your points when you take back the move.
The way to win the game is to leave no balloons behind; which is easier said than done. Even if you don't get all of them, there are bonuses for leaving only a few balloons behind.
There are two power ups, a pin which allows you to pop any single balloon and the weight which allows you to move an entire column by one row. These power ups can be the key to winning the game. Having the ability to pop one balloon might allow you to move and entire column over and recombine it with the larger groups. There are numerous different combinations to the right pop order and win. The challenge of poppit is that is seems easy but takes a critical eye to win. If nothing else sitting there popping balloons for a few minutes is definitely a stress relief and fun to play.
